Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will soon be required for all MyServiceNSW Accounts. This is to help keep your account secure.
This means when you log in to your account, you’ll need more than just your password. You’ll also need to enter a code or respond to a notification.
To be ready for this change, set up MFA with your mobile number, the Service NSW app or an authenticator app.
How to set up multi-factor authentication
- Go to https://www.service.nsw.gov.au.
- Log in to your MyServiceNSW Account.
- Go to ‘Manage account’.
- Go to ‘Settings and security’.
- Go to ‘Multi-factor authentication’ and follow the prompts.
You can turn on MFA before it is required. To do this, select ‘Turn on’ in ‘Settings and security’ after you’ve completed the steps above.
If you need help setting up multi-factor authentication, go to https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/services/myservicensw-account/multi-factor-authentication.
